Sports Law

A free short course by Sportal Corporate — not a credit-bearing university award.

2h 7m of video6 videos12 written lessons

How law shapes sport — the legal structure of the sports world, contracts, arbitration and the CAS, image rights, and competition integrity.

The course explains how sports law actually works as a system, then covers the Court of Arbitration for Sport and why sport largely resolves disputes outside the ordinary courts. A landmark case is argued properly rather than summarised. Two lessons cover image rights, what they are and how they are exploited, and the course closes on NIL and the structure of the modern athlete deal.

It suits agents, commercial and contracts staff, administrators, and law or sport management students. It is educational and not legal advice, and jurisdictions differ. Six video lessons are released one at a time, with written notes, key terms and an exercise. Pass the ten-question quiz at 80% for a verifiable certificate.
